dear all,
i'm using cubase se with Synphonic choirs like vst and wordbuilder like insert. It's all ok until, after i register in a midi track some choirs, i want listen it. I push play bottom and cubase go in crash or close immediatly. This problem i have only with wordbuilder; if i use only Symphinic choirs it's all ok.

Can somebody help me?

Thanks to all

Some versions of cubase don't like the WB as an insert.
You have to run the wordbuilder as a standalone

Here it explains how to do : http://support.soundsonline.com/faq/index.php?action=artikel&cat=26&id=50&artlang=en&highlight=choirs

Yes, obviously, what's the problem ?
You only have to run WB in Standalone mode and make cubase and WB communicate between them... Did you read the faq I gave you ?
There is also a video ;)

WordBuilder doesn't work natively in Cubase SE. To get it to work standalone with Choirs running as a plugin in Cubase requires a workaround.

Open WordBuilder. For input, choose Virtual WordBuilder/Midi Yoke/Maple MIDI port 1. For output, choose VWB/MY/MM port 2.

Load Cubase, make a project, load choirs inside of Cubase, and create two MIDI tracks. In MIDI track one, set the input to your keyboard and the output to VWB1/MY1/MM1.

In MIDI track two, set the input to VWB2/MY2/MM2, and the output to Choirs, all channels (all channels is very important.)

Record enable both tracks.

Ok,
now i can use WB with CuBase like external module, I can play and register my song: thanks for your assistance.

But now there is another problem!
After i create my song, i go to File menu onto Cubase, and export file like .wav; in this case cubase don't listen WB track (i suppose because now is external module) and there is not in the wav file the WB track!!!

How can I resolve this problem?

Many thanks again

Hello,

Make sure to do the bounce in real-time (not a fast bounce).

ok, i tried to load SymCho in CB and not out, create a midi track. Now is ok and i can trasform in .wav file the song... but i have again some problem:

1) now the quality is low... there is a "tic" (little rumor) before every note
2) what is bounce?

Sam was using the wrong terminology. What you need to do is a realtime mixdown. In Cubase (AFAIK) the word bounce is not used for the same operation as in other software, e.g. PT.

today i ask about to buy upgrade to my cubase SE 1.0 to cubase SE3. If i buy this upgrade (so i mean that i will have CuBase Se3) can i use WB like insert directly in cubase without all this problems?

Yup!

And sorry about the terminology thing...

Bounce, Mixdown, and Export Audio are all simialr operations, given different names in different sequencers: they all mean roughly 'to turn (any portion of) a multitracked project and all realtime processing into one (usually stereo) audio file.'

I think it works only from SL3

It works fine in Cubase SX 3.

As I used PT for a while (before I grew up) I also got confused about the bounce thingy to start with. Basically all the bounce function in Cubase does is change all the tracks to make them the same length. This is called something else in PT (conform???), but I can't remember what!!
