How does everyone compose there choir parts? I thought this would be a great spot to share idea's and tips to eachother on there ways.

Do you load a patch and write with block chords and edit the chords after?

or do you write 1 note per line with each section? Basses/tenors/alto's/sop?

I typically find my self writing 2 note chords with each section and sometimes 3 note chords and just spacing out the chord right for each Patch.

Also I'm having a hard time editing since there's 6 lines of data. Can you just C11 and mod wheel edit the "word builder" track? and leave the other 5 alone? Thats the one thing I have not tested yet.

What do you do?

Hello,

If you're using Choirs with Pro Tools, the other 5 tracks should only really be used as returns. Only edit the main 'WordBuilder' track.

I write the sopranos, then the basses, and then altos and tenors. I don't play a chord I try most of the time to do counterpoint lines, not only big chords with no movement ;)
