Being that I would buy a steel acoustic guitar (with pickup onboard), I'm surfing the net and in the Ovation's web site I've found this page.
It's great and looking at all these pics I'm overcome with the wish having all of them!

Which do you prefer among them?
I love the Blue Transparent, the Black Flake, the Honey Burst, but also the Black, the Sunburst, the Vintage Flame...... I love them all!
If I win the lottery I buy all of them (in this case I need also a new house to hold them!) :D

Well...
I'm not a huge Ovation fan, but if I was buying a new steel string, I'd go here...

I bought one about 13 years ago, and it's the best steel string I've ever owned!

Best guitar I ever played was a Taylor (Leo Kottke model). I went back a week later to check it out again and maybe buy it, and it was gone... :(

yes a taylor , I was with a friend when He tried a taylor at the musikmesse, the sound was amazing , there is a new system with mircrophone on a table ( inside of the guitar of course )
take a look at this link (http://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/features/electronics/Video.aspx?file=ES_1_High.wmx)
the sound is great, I have tryed a seagull too , there is a seagull with two microphones , a normal one inside of the body and the second one that is a piezo, than you can mix those two sounds but on stage, I think that you should have a lot of feedback ( by the way seagull is Godin (and is too, art et lutherie, simon and patrick, norman and la patrie ))
in my opinion ,the taylor sounds greater, you have the treble via the piezo and the body with the other microphones ( take a look at the link and you'll understand better than my explanations )

That's cool.
Note to self: Don't record a conversation of three people with two overhead mics, or the guy in the middle will move left to right as he turns his head. ;)

A question to Pablo, Stefan & Seb (Taylor's experts).
Which model/s you suggest?
I need a folk steel right for fast fingerpicking and, being that I have no mics or anecoic rooms, with a great pickup and/or internal mic on board.
I know you can tell me I should try it in a store, but I would go there with a general idea of which guitars trying.
Thanks

I don't remember the model that my friend have tried sorry, but try to test one with the system that I talked about on a AER amp .
also try to compare a seagull and a taylor at a high level to see which one will feedback first
there is also Martin&Co , if my memory is good ,try to test the HD-28, this guitar has a huge sound and well balanced but not mic inside you can add a microphone called
sorry again for the taylor model

I only played the one (Leo Kottke model), and I don't remember whether it had a pickup in it. The system they're talking about in that video link (above) looks like it has good potential.
MMmmm.... Taylor..... ::drool::
