Dont mean this to complain and I certainly dont want to bash anyone but..... I just watched this movie and was not only not excited by the movie but almost distracted by the soundtrack. A lot of really repetitive and droning music. I think it was Horner. I know some people would say that's enough info right there but I happen to really like some of his stuff. This I did not. Am I missing something? Any other opinions on this one? I'd like to know if anyone got something good from this experience. If so, please specify so I can listen back to it. Some of it seemed like the would be one chord droning on forrrrreeeeevvvveeerrrr, then change, and then come back!!!! It was killing me. Lol. Just my 2 cents

I heard the movie was crap. I was gonna watch it but someone told me the 14 year old actress playing pocahontas doesn't even get naked so I didn't bother.

Anyways, theres not too much score thats horner's in New World. Much of it is Wagner's prelude to Das Rheingold and some part of a Mozart piano concerto that I cant think of right now. Terrance Malick ditched most of Horner's music for the film for source music that is played repetitively throughout the film. Although i think its a well made film, (aside from historical inaccuracies) it kinda sucks for horner because he apparently wrote A LOT of music for what used to be a 3 hour film. Still though, my opinion is that the source music works pretty well
