Ready or not, here goes:

The ability to save ADHSR, reverb and delay settings as loadable presets

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Delete key for instruments

It's a tad annoyng to go menu > delete cur. instr.

How about a delete key - you hit the key, and the current instr goes bye-bye. This should be duplicated in both the browser and play windows. This of course, is because 'replace' does not delete the current instr.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reset Knobs to default

Double click (or ctrl+click, or shift+click, etc) returns the knob to it's default setting
Right click opens a window where you can type a numerical value

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next/prev instrument selection

When needing to browse through loaded instruments one by one, clicking on the box and making a selection is a pain. That shouldn't go away, but in addition, can we have something like this: (note top right)

--OR--

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Modifier key added to controls for value changes

As with most other DAW related sw, holding down the shift key allows for controls to be moved in smaller increments. PLAY should work the same way.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mouse wheel functionality to be added to controls

The ability to move a control with the mouse is definitely a work-flow improvement.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A user pref for auto adding instruments when double-clicked

Pref 1: Automatically add instrument
Pref 2: Automatically replace all
Pref 3: Original behaviour (dial box opens)

Another work flow enhancement. It gets annoying answering that dial box every time you go to load an instrument, when one or more instruments are already loaded . If you are like me, you want to ADD the instrument virtually every time. I would like to double-click, and have the instrument just load. For people that don't want to work this way - for fear of deleting an already loaded instrument - they can leave the pref to original behaviour.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Delay should be pre or post reverb

Currently, if both reverb and delay are enabled, the reverb is heard only on the initial trigger, and not on the repeats. This sounds unnatural and wrong.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

More reverb functionality

Volume and pre-delay is not enough. How about a wet/dry control(s), color, damping (hi mid low), and eq?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The ability to pan an instrument, but leave the reverb (if on) stereo

Not sure how this would be done from a programming standpoint, or if this is even possible, but... In the real world, you set up a pair of stereo mics in the corners of a large room, move the instrument all the way to one side, and the recording will have stereo ambience in both l & r. Currently, PLAY's pan is global; you pan the instrument to one side, and all of the reverb goes with it. I guess the instrument/dry signal would somehow have to be seperated from the reverb - not sure.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PLAY's volume slider should physically reflect volume host automation and fader moves

As in Kontakt.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ability to load mulitple instruments simul

Select an instrument in the browser, shift+click to select more (mulitple) instruments, and then "add". All instruments selected are now added one after the other, in sequence. This eliminates the need to sit there and wait for one instrument to load, then add another, then wait...

Thank you! :)

I really like the next/prev idea for faster switching between instruments. The ability to browse while loading an instrument would be nice too.

There's already a Delete key in the Browser menu, on the left side (below the box where you see the loaded articulations).

I like your suggestions, btw.

All great ideas, although I suspect the response to the reverb requests is to buy Spaces.

There's already a Delete key in the Browser menu.

Yes there is. Still more convinient to hit delete, as opposed to reaching for the mouse, clicking Browser, and then clicking delete.

Cheers.

These are all excellent ideas and would improve workflow enormously.

BTW, You can actually already hit Shift and fine-tune the control knobs.
