I haven't got HOW yet (shipment status says I should be getting it today! Woohoo!). But generally, with other VIs (including EWQL stuff and the rest of the Hollywood collection), just double the instrument, and use the tune/transpose trick, where you tune the doubled instrument down one or two semitones and the transpose it back up (or vice versa). Since it means you're always using different samples (since the instruments are sampled chromatically), you don't get any phasing. Plus, depending on which way you tune it, you'll get a brighter or a darker timbre which gives you some more variety.

Only downside is you lose the absolute ranges of the instrument, so you'd want to tune to suit the range of what you're writing. It's not a huge deal for me, personally.

Can we expect this trick to be integrated into PLAY in an HOW "manipulated ensemble patch"? This would be really usefull!
