Hey Sam,

I've tried just about everything to make SC and WB work with PT7, even with all the info in the forum.

Am I missing something here? Are you able to work SC and WB with PT7?

I'm recording at 24/48Khz / Mac G5 Dual 2 / OS X 10.4.6

I'd appreciate some help. Thanks!

-Dean

While I'm waiting for a response from Sam, is anyone here able to use SC and WB with Pro Tools 7?

Hello,

We got this worked out...

For anybody interested, make sure that your MIDI Filter settings have record all selected.

Sam. Need some help with the same question as above. Have read your answer, bit there's a huge chunk of info missing (for me anyway) in the middle. I've also tried everything i can think of, but can't get WordBuilder to connect to SC Kompakt. Would you mind giving me the step-by-step setup? SC is working fine as an RTAS plug-in, but i can't figure out how WordBuilder fits in the chain. Have read the "Midi Looping" instruction in the manual, PT doesn't allow for that connection. I have the same gear as above.

Thanks.

The instructions on the FAQ (http://support.soundsonline.com) should work properly.

Hi,

I've tried this way but first can't see Word Builder Virtual Port on Mac PT7.1cs8, MIDI Input list...

IAC Virtual ports can be seen on it, but can't be used. (WB is version 1.1.2)

Please advise,

KAZ

Hello KAZ,

Do the virtual WordBuilder ports show up in wordbuilder?

Thanks Sam,

Of course, Yes. On Word Builder I can see virtual Word Builder port 1-4 on Property window of both MIDI In and MIDI Out.

If you're opening up WordBuilder before Pro Tools, and you still cannot see the ports in your MIDI input box, you may want to call digidesign...that means that the ports are there, but Pro Tools refuses to acknowledge that they exist. Do you have any other applications that use MIDI, and are they able to see the WordBuilder ports if you open WordBuilder first?

I did have one other user report this problem to me, but I haven't been able to reproduce it. The only workaround we came up with was to use extra real MIDI ports on his MIDI interface as the loopbacks.
