hi all,

Not sure why anyone should really be interested - but here's some info about myself:

Name: Andrew Wilson
From: Scotland
Age: 59 - maybe one of the oldest here! :)
Fav Composer of all time : Tchaikovsky
Occupation: Composer / Web designer / Theatre Lighting Designer - almost an equal split right now
Favourite pastime - cooking / eating & red wine (French!)
Musical Education: almost none - I wasn't allowed to study music at school because I can't sing a note - something I have never forgiven my teachers for - I did have private classical piano lessons and later jazz piano lessons - but no formal qualifications - mostly self taught.

First synth was a Korg MS20 - bought new in 1982 for 400.00 - which was a lot of money then. I now work entirely with VSTs and sample libraries - my main library is Gold XP which is fantastic. I wish the technology had been available 20 years ago.

I am published by 3 production music libraries - since 1989 - and my music has been used in more than 20 countries worldwide. In the past year I have written music professionally for theatre, film, multimedia, radio and ringtones!

I really enjoy being part of this forum and helping others where I can.
My current showreel is at: www.awpmusic.co.uk/showreel

Don't panic Andrew; I'm 62 in March (Sorry I made a mistake Neil)....but hey, young at heart.:) I just passed my motorcycle test 3months ago (last of the summer wine?) so even less chance to get going on the music front now
