Hi,
I did a clean install of Symphonic Choirs and Wordbuilder on my machine (32 bit, Barton chip, 3.0, 2G ram). I use Sonar 4.0.3. SC and Wordbuilder load as plug-ins into Sonar with no problem. As far as I can tell, I have set inputs and outputs correctly. However, when I load a multi into SC, I get an error message: "The outputs configured in the loaded multi differ from the current output configuration." After hitting the OK button in the error message, the message disappears, I can manipulate the SC screen, but I get no sound when I play a note on the controller. This is my first attempt at using SC and Wordbuilder, by the way.
I'd appreciate any advice you have.

Thanks,:)
Laura

Hi Laura,

Although I"m not really the best person to give advice let me try at least to help you:

The message you get has nothing to do with the problem (I think). I get the same message with Cuabse SX2 and yet my choirs work lovely.

Things to try:
*Load only the choirs, without the WB and try the multis
*Load only one voice, and one letter.
*Try playing different octaves (the SC have problems with the ranges of the voices)

Hope this was helpful

Let me preface this by saying I have no place advising people on tech matters...

Having said that, this has happened to me several times. Have you checked to make sure that your MIDI track (in SONAR) is armed for sound and ready to go? If you load Choirs into SONAR then you have to assign the MIDI channel within SONAR just like in any other DXI or VST. I assume that you are trying to load just one voice (for starters) in the top slot of EWQLSC. Then set your output on the MIDI track in SONAR to "EWQLSC" and the track number to "1"

and then you should have sound....

Hope this helps....

Well, if I've helped with a tech issue it is surely a sign of the apocalypse....

Have fun with Choirs!
