Is there a list somewhere, of which of the samples reside in which library files?

I hope someone will answer this. There certainly should be some kind of reference, telling the user in which .nks file they can find which sample.

For instance, my computer is a laptop. I installed the program to my laptop hard drive, and the full library to an external HD.

However, in case I sometime want to work with this when not at home, without the external HD connected, I thought perhaps I will copy some of the library to the laptop's internal HD. However, I wouldn't have room to copy anywhere near the full 38GB library to my internal drive. I would copy to the local drive only the .nks files needed for the particular sounds I am using.

I don't know which files those are, however, as I have so far seen no list, saying which samples are in which .nks files.

Is there such a list? If not, it really should be compiled, and listed here on the web.

Alternatively, is there a way to look into each .nks file, to see what is in it?

Hello,

There is no list of files included in .nks monoliths, because the sampler is intended to be run on a computer that contains all necessary samples for the product. The only way to view contents of nks files is to open them up in Kontakt 2 on a computer with a registered copy of the product.

Yes, but as I explained, there are situations where someone might not have the 38 gigs free for the whole program, and might just want to load some of them on the computer, with the sounds they need, So, I think there should be more flexibility there.

When you say open them with Kontakt, do you mean that Kontakt can open the .nks files directly, rather than only the instrument files (which reference the .nks files, of course)?

Indeed with K2, I'm able to see the content of the nks files.

Hi guys! This is a very interesting quetion! Also the problem is, when I load the instrument, there are some samples that are missing, any ideas how to fix this?

Hi Ddude,

Thanks for the info.

By "part", I assume that you mean the .nks file with that number, correct?

One thing isn't clear to me--you list soloists-close, full, and surround, but do not mention which soloists-soprano, alto, tenor, bass, or boys.
