Me again,
Questions always come in packs!
I've been working VERY happily with SX3 and Choirs with the kompact players - only frustrated by the limitations of my 2GB RAM which means I can only play with SATB in close mike, and with two voices in Surround.

I've started trying to load the multis into Kontakt 2 thinking I might get more voices this way...but keep getting crashes.

Total - SX-refuses-to-budge-kind-of-crashes.

I know they won't be a problem with Choirs - more likely the K2, or perhaps SX3

But before I waste a week trying to get them talking nicely to each other - I'd love to know whether anyone has this setup working smoothly!

Thanks a lot,

Peter

Are you using K2.1.1?

Yes I've got the latest update. (SX is also up to date!)
I gave up completely on the original Kontakt2..and couldn't persuade NI to give me K1.5 while they sorted out the bugs.
Hence my working only with the Kompakt player...which is great...
But I always hoped that using Kontakt rather than Kompact, I might get more voices into RAM as I'd be able to use the Kontakt-only mens and womens choirs.
With the Kompact player, even though I've got 2GB of RAM, I can only work with SATB in 'close' mike position - and I have to do lots of bouncing to disc to be able to work with SATB in F or S position.

I have those in PC (1 Gb ram) and iMac (1,5 Gb) + updated K2. Works perfectly when using SX3 bounce (File/export/audio mixdown). All unneeded sw closed, of course.

Hi Software,
Are you saying that with 1GB RAM you are able to have 4 instruments (the close mikes I assume) OPEN simultaneously - or are you having to bounce each one at a time?
