View Full Version : LogicSATB: how to make it part of my existing autoload?

Hello everyone,

I just downloaded the WONDERFUL LogicSATB file from support page, and love its functionality! Is there anyway to add this to my existing autoload? I have done some heavy work with screen-sets, environment, etc, in my autoload and would hate to loose it!

I have tried to simply add the 2 layers from LogicSATB ("clicks & ports" and "Choirs") to my autoload, but this did not work (did not get any sound). I then tried selecting all objects in the "choirs" layer from LogicSATB and option click them back to the clicks & ports layer, and then copy that layer into my autoload. I am now able to get sound, but the choirs do not follow word builder correctly (sounds like random syllables).

Any suggestions on how to add this wonderful routing system to my autoload (or how to add my autoload settings to the LogicSATB) would be GREATLY appreciated!

p.s. I just found the LogicFC file, which has additional midi ports for Men, Women, and Full choir, however it did not come with any type of instructions for how to use these new instruments. How do I use these new men, women, and Full choir instruments? I own Kontakt 2 and I'm assuming it has to do with the full sections multis, though I dont know exactly how it works. Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I made the FC patch, but didn't post it on the FAQ because it could cause some people more difficulty than it would help.

The FC patch was meant for people who do not have K2, but they do have Logic and want to use a men's, women's, or full choir. If a voice is loaded in each of the kompakt players, and there is text in each of the voices in wordbuilder, then using a mens/womens/full choir MIDI track will give you the entire mens/womens/full choir range. This is one of the great things about Logic's environment...flexibility!

As far as importing my environment, if it's not working, you may want to take your autoload and make sure that all your special objects are in their own layers. Instead, import your layers into the SATB .lso and see if you have better luck.
