WB with SC in ableton live?!

I'm not sure if this simply isn't supposed to work or I'm actually doing something wrong:

I have WB running along with ableton live 5.2 and the SC vst on a midi channel inside live. Midi is reaching the vst through maple midi (the incoming midi light is blinking on the kompakt player and the keys are moving, several per actual keystroke/release, so it's the wb midi incoming alright). a WB multi is loaded...

however, no sound comes out of the kompakt player...the instrument output doesn't light up when I press any keys and I can't hear anything.


could anyone explain how to solve this? or is WB not supposed to work with the vst version of the kompakt player? (would make no sense...

any help appreciated. I'd love to start making music....



edit: the same happens when I use kontakt instead of kompakt inside live...

WordBuilder sends its volume messages using polyphonic aftertouch, which is not supported by Ableton Live at this time. Because of this, Live does not yet work with WordBuilder.

now if only I can figure out how to record the input of the standalone kompakt player with live 5 and my m-audio fw410....

any chance cubasis supports polyphonic aftertouch?

Probably a good question for Steinberg, I don't have that particular software.

All the major versions of Cubase do, as far as I know, but Cubasis is a cut-down version.

they seem like a pain to contact and cubasis isn't even listed on their "products" menu, but I guess I'll try those forums...
