Heyo,

Been using SC for about six months now. Nice library, it's become a staple of my work.

I'm a little feverish today so please excuse any incomprehensible sentences on my part. Also, I lost my manual (temporarily... it's around here somewhere...) so I can't just go look these things up.

I have Kontakt 2, but I still haven't loaded up any of the full men's/women's choir patches because I don't know why I'd want to. Somebody somewhere mentioned extended ranges. Is that true? How do these patches work anyway, if both bass and tenors are in one patch... how do I separate out the parts? Especially if they're singing different words...

Being medicated and all, it is hard for me to tackle problems requiring logic and reasoning today. :o

Additionally, I am having trouble rendering certain words in WB. It's possible I have the Votox down correctly and just haven't tweaked the words enough to get them to flow... one of them is the "er" sound in words like 'learn' or 'churn' or 'burn.' The second is the "ing" sound in words like 'sing' or 'thing' or 'walking.' How would you guys do it?

Yup. Thanks.

Hi Tom,

The full mens/womens choirs just combine Soprano/Alto and Tenor/Bass into one patch each. This can help with lines that go out of one of the individual ranges.

For the er sound, try 'Ur' (the FAQ at support.soundsonline.com has an updated VOTOX chart, since you can't locate your manual right now).

I'm not sure about the 'ng' sound... the 'i' part you'll get with a VOTOX 'i,' for the 'ng' you may want to try just 'n.'

I am feeling much better today!

I have nothing else to add to my queries. Except --

Thanks, Sam!

I hate being one of those guys who does all the talking when he has a problem or a question and then goes dead silent once he's been helped. As a former tech support guy myself, a little "thank you" was exceedingly rare but always, somehow, made me feel fulfilled at the end of the day. So I just want to throw that out there. :)
