since ableton live doesn't support polyphonic aftertouch, I'm trying to find a way I can still use the word builder.

my idea to send midi from a live midi output to WB, then send it from there to the stand-alone kompakt player and somehow send the audio into live.

however I'm not quite sure how to do that with my m-audio fw410. I mean, I guess I could use cables from my soundcard outputs and connect them to my audio input, but isn't there an easier way? can't I grab that audio somehow before it leaves my soundcard?

sorry for bumping this so shamelessly, but not being able to use the word builder kinda takes out a lot of fun with ewqlsc.

does anyone have an idea how that could be achieved? I'd really appreciate if someone had a good idea.

edit: any chance cubasis features polyphonic aftertouch?

There's always Jack (http://jackaudio.org/) if you're on OS X...

Careful not to cause yourself feedback, though.

that sounds great. now if only it'd work for windows...

know of any similar products, by chance? I don't even need to route it directly to another applications input, I'd even be happy if I could just record it as a wav so I can import it as audio in live....

thx for the tip.

I don't know of any interapplication audio programs for Windows.

Some soundcards, such as the soundblaster (though it's not a pro audio card), have a 'What U Hear' setting for record in, which may work. If you're extremely careful not to cause feedback with your monitor settings, you can plug cables from an output on your card to a different input and record that... at your own risk, though!
