Word builder and universal binary

I like to hear anything about word builder and plans to update it for intel macs. I got one and I know Kontakt will be updated soon, but I didn't want symphonic choir for ooo's and ahh's. Forgive my impatient tone, I am sure all that can be done is being done. Just wondering about some estimate as to when to expect it. 6 months? A year? Anyone know?

From what I understand, Word Builder will be built in to the new Qcontrol engine for Symphonic Choirs. That being the case, I can only speculate that the next update to Word Builder will be that one which will most likely be UB and work with the Intel macs. The Symphony Orchestra line will be the first to receive the new engine and then other libraries will follow. We are probably looking at about a year before Symphonic Choirs gets its update. However, I am hoping that I am wrong and it will come out sooner rather than later.

I am interested in Symphonic Chorus but have read conflicting reports about whether or not it is possible to use Word Builder on an Intel Mac. Is this one of the things that will be fixed when Play comes out, or is it already fixed? What's the situation these days (March 2007)? Thanks - Marc

Kontakt 2 already plays the Symphonic Choirs library, and the wordbuilder application itself is already a universal binary (see the sticky note on this forum?). So, if you have Kontakt 2 as well as an intel mac, you may already use the library as intended.

A PLAY update for Choirs has not yet been announced.
