Greetings -
I got my SC just this morning, and am looking forward to using it. I have the current Kontakt updates, and upgraded WB to 1.1.2, and also have installed the updated multis and Kontakt-only multis. I've configured the environment as specified. I haven't seen symptoms exactly like mine here, so forgive me if this problem has been solved on another thread.
I've started WB and set it up thus:
125
That is, port 1 + channel 1 IN, port 2 + channel 1 OUT (disabling the "other traffic" in Advanced MIDI Out results in the grey-out of the MIDI Out options for me). WB is running thus:
126
Next, I've loaded a tenors multi in Logic (using the Kompakt instrument OR the Kontakt sampler itself; the results seem to be the same for me), configured the environment and so on:
127
And set the the MIDI track to use this "Tenors" instrument. That track sends on port WordBuilder 1, channel 1, and the instrument receives on all MIDI channels.
The result of all of this is as follows. I can play and hear the tenors multi; I can see the activity in the Input View in the environment, both the IN and OUT ("1" and "[cust]") MIDI icons in WB flash, and the instrument itself gets the MIDI from WB (no phrase in the text editor window results in no MIDI, I assume this is correct). So, I'm assuming I have things configured properly.
However, the text in the window is never what gets output. With this example "be ne di TuS", playing notes results in vowels bearing no resemblance to the word, with misplaced consonants, tails and so on. It seems like the entirely wrong MIDI data is being sent to the instrument, which may be confirmed by the fact that the actual resulting notes are a half-step higher than they should be (I'm not transposing anywhere I'm aware of).
It seems likely that I'm doing something wrong in my configuration, and quite possibly am experiencing Logic user-error (it's a fairly new program to me). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
