I'm trying out cubase sx to see if I'm comfortable with it so I can use the WB.
now, for some reason, even though the wordbuilderVST.dll is in the vst-folder of cubase, it's not recognised and I can't use it as an insert as suggested in the manual.
the other problem is that even though I can load the sc kompakt player (or kontakt 2 for that matter), I don't get the option to select a programm, all the kompakt player will have as a choice is "new multi", with kontakt 2 it says not available in the prog window....
I'm totally new to this programm, am I missing something obvious?

What version of Cubase are you using?
Cause Cubase SX 1 does not work with WB. It will crash, or not get recognised or anything.
If you're using a later version of Cubase, maybe you installed first the SC, and then Cubase??? although in my case (that I upgraded) I had no trouble...
don't knwo what else to suggest.
The other thing that you will be told, is to download all the updates, and maybe your problem will be resolved.
sorry that I oculdn't be of any further help.

WordBuilder is not a VST instrument plugin, but a MIDI plugin.
Please read up on the subject in our FAQ at support.soundsonline.com
Instructions for using it with Choirs, along with a video for setup are provided there. Here are some links for you:

I'm aware it's no instrument, that's why I wrote I can't use it as a midi insert as the manual suggests....thx for the links, though, I'm already doing everything the way it's described there...

Instead of the VST folder, WordBuilder should be inside of Cubase's Components folder. Can you see it if you move the dll there?
What happens when you click the little drop down arrow to the right of NEW MULTI in the Kompakt player (not the Cubase frame that surrounds the player)?

yep, loading the multis directly in the kompakt player interface seems to work.
putting WB in the components folder allowed me to use it as an insert.
There seems to be an incredible latency, however, I guess it has to do with me using cubase sx1, as nikolas said....
I guess I'll just upgrade cubasis vst to cubase SE 3...
