James,
Nice to meet you here and have the oportunity to know more about you.
When I heard your "Castle" it was clear to me that you where well trained in classical music and found somewhat contemporary sound that I appreciated more related to Bartok that to Prokofiev, but indeed is more contemporary than the post second symphony works of Prokofiev.
I liked it a lot, your sense of harmony is original, your chord progressions are surpresive, when you expect a mayor chord you change to minor, giving an harmonic colour that makes the listener keep the atention and you conduct him through your created scenary.
In the other hand in your list of preferences, I am with you with Bach and Debussy but I miss there Mahler ( just is in my personal taste).
I have meet a lot of good composers in this forum and most of them are french like you.
The inheritance of classical music is something that in Europe we have to be proud of, despite of the fact that the American culture ( Copland, Ives Adams. etc. ) has surpased ours while we where fooling with serialism and dodecaphonism, and nowadays the film music is a genere that has its own place in the Music world and this place is hollywood.
I shall take a look at your whole work in your web site, It is for me like buying a new CD.
Thanks for sharing your music and your talent
Luis

keep the atention is very difficult , your work for Queen's gambit is a very nice
big work for harmonics and instrument :)
cheers
