Hey Alex,
welcome to the forum.
Let's say that you should be able to hear the S at the end of each words that contains it, just increasing the lenght of the letter. You can do that easely in WB dragging the bar of the letter until you decide the result is good.
Let me know if this help,
Roberto
P.S. check out the Videos that Nick registered about the use of SC! Those help a lot!!:)

Hi there,
You could also try raising the group volume and the instrument volume in SC which contains the consonant patch. Also, select the S in the WB window and alter the velocity and attack as per the manual by clicking on the LH window or raise the volume graph by clicking + on the bar and using your mouse to drag the graph. You might find they get quite explosive and sibilant, but keep tweaking until happy. Hope this helps.

Hello,
Click on the groupedit button on the left side just underneath the instrument properties. Then, under the group menu, you can pick the group which you want to adjust.
To change the instrument volume, leave groupedit mode, and just use the volume knob in the upper right corner.
