Congratulations Doug nick and Team.

One thing that I would like to know is the Ethnic Section in Colossus all new material? Or... is it taken from Rare Instruments? How playable is it as far as articulations/Legato? I looked at the manual but it does not say any articulations it just says the instrument.nki.

Could one pull of realistic passages with those Ethnic section listed in Colossus as thats pretty much all the Ethic Instruments that I need. I think RA will be overkill for me, but I want realism.

Suggestions welcomed.

Dave

Ethnic stuff in Colossus is from RA, except for a couple instruments. The plucked instruments are very good. The wind and string instruments are good but don't have the articulations needed for extremely realistic solo'd phrases. For most things they are fine, though.

Colossus is easily one of my favorite plugins in my collection, well done.

Thinking of getting Colossus...and a few others, but don't want to overlap too much...

Quick (and important) question for my purchasing decision -

Is this -

NEW AGE ENSEMBLES
(Inspiring ethno ethereal soundscapes)

something like Enya's "ooh-ahh" or is it not vocal-based.

It is not. Though there is a vocal section in Colossus
