I think a comprehensive electric guitar library would be awesome.

I haven't heard a sampled electric guitar that can pull off fast lead licks realistically yet. If anyone can do it it's East West, it'd just take time to sample those 160 bpm 16th notes and sweep picking.

There would need to be a Direct In signal patch for every processed/distorted patch so composers can choose their own amplifier and FX.

Maybe hire Michael Angelo Batio, Rusty Cooley or another shredder to record the necessary material.

I've found myself wishing for this kind of sample library after I lost my ability to play leads to tendinitis.

Could you post an example track? I'd definitely buy it if I heard some of what I'm talking about. I've been planning on buying that library anyway.

Ive never really tried creating something with GhWr. I just bought it a few months ago, because I got it for free. :D
If you want, Ill try and do something ... but Im not a guitarrist and have never used this library, so itll probably sound like http://board.de.ikariam.gameforge.com/wcf/images/smilies/censored.gif!

Did you already check out the demos? Or the YT-demos, where Steve Wilson explains the library?
