Have installed Choirs and Wordbuilder fine!

How do I get the Text in Word Builder to Line up with the Bars?

Do I simply type in the required Text in the order the Notes appear in the Part and as each word is used it moves along autonatically to the next one?

Let me explain if I my methodology is close to what I should be doing. -

Say I have 4 Bars and the Lyrics are You Mean So Much To Me (for example)

Voices commence in Bar 8

4 crotchet counts on You
3 " counts on Mean
1 " counts on So
3 " counts on Much
1 " counts on To
3 " counts on Me

Do I simply Type ALL the Text I require and as each note appears the 1st Text You will apply and then when the second note is reached during Playback the Text Mean will activate with that 2nd (3 count) Note?

I get the Voices to sound ok at Playback but can't integrate the Wordbuilder?

Could I send a sample of this in CUBASE SX3 format to some one and they could perhaps Step me through it?

Many thanks

Thanks

Hello,

I've responded to your thread over in the tech support forum. There's a link that shows you how to setup WordBuilder here:

http://support.soundsonline.com/faq/index.php?action=artikel&cat=28&id=49&artlang=en

WordBuilder reads the words to you one at a time. So, you should type in all of the words, and as you play, WordBuilder will cycle through them. The words will line up to your bars and beats as long as the notes in your sequence do.

Haven't had a lot of success yet but I noticed that the only choices in Wordbuilder are for single parts and the Full Choirs Option is unavailable?

I wanted the Full Choirs?

Hello,

Because of limitations in the Kompakt player, the range is restricted to one choir. If you own Kontakt 2, the men's and women's choirs can give you a bit more range.

I have a song that uses multiple repeats of the same Text.

Can I Copy and Paste the initial line instead of retyping everything all over again?

e.g. I have almost got my line of Text sounding reasonable. During the same song I require that same set up several times but say I adjust the Velocity or speed for some characters do you have to write them on a piece of paper to remember them again for the next similar configuration within the same song?

I hope I am clear on this?

One more thing also please, is there an extensive List of Text sound configuratins. e.g. I have a few that show how to pronouce say: aE = White, sigh but are there more?

Thanks

Hello,

Yes, there is a list of Votox meanings on our FAQ at support.soundsonline.com. I link several of our customers there, and I have pointed you to there already as well. It's a great resource, so take advantage! There is also a list in your user manual. This is another good resource.

Yes, you can copy and paste text.

Can't even use Copy & Paste function here let alone in Wordbuilder!

e.g. the Title above can not even be copied and pasted into the Message Body here?

I can Copy and Paste elsewhere no problems apart fro here and in WordBuilder?

It sounds like this problem goes beyond the scope of just our products. Try selecting the text and using the Edit menu.

Several ways to do this:

To copy something you must first highlight the text that you would like to copy. When when you have the text highlighted that you would like to copy, you can copy it to the clipboard in one of three ways:

* When the text is highlighted you can press the Control button and the C button at the same to copy the data.
* Right-clicking on the highlighted text or files and then clicking on Copy.
* If there is an Edit menu you can click on Edit and then click on Copy.

Simply move your cursor to the location where you would like the data to be pasted into your document and then choose one of the methods for pasting the data.

* When the cursor is at the location where you would like the data to be pasted press the Control button and the V button at the same to paste the data.
* Right-clicking on the document and clicking on Paste.
* If there is an Edit menu you can click on Edit and then click on Paste.

Ctrl + C & Ctrl + V works! The others are greyed out or not available?

That's great, thanks again!

Do you happen to know where this alleged VOTOX Data Base is of Pre-edited files?

You are about a million times more helpful that the 'alleged Tech help?' That is a misnomer!

How do I get the Text in Word Builder to Line up with the Bars?

I have had it only a few days . . .

These products are complex and they do have a learning curve. Three days is not a long time to get familiar with a product like Gold, Platinum or Choirs. There are videos to watch, an FAQ page, a manual to read and more. You have to be prepared to learn and explore the product before you turn to others for help. I think maybe part of the reason so few step forward to offer you advice is that it's clear that you have not spent the time learning the products and expect instant answers from others. Have patience and don't expect instant results. I too have found tech help to be efficient and helpful - responding to others - and they have also given you a lot of advice, which you seem to have ignored in part anyway. Keep plugging away - you will get there - we all did. :)

Hello,

I've been responding to as many as your posts as I can, as soon as possible, all which contain helpful information. Please take time to review all of the resources we have pointed you to. If you still have specific technical questions, you should send an email to techsupport@eastwestsounds.com.

Sam - given the time difference - you must be working in the middle of the night! That's dedication for you! :)

I think I have written some posts in the early morning though...

May I say that any help I get is really really really appreciated!

I HAVE read the Manuals. I have watched the videos. I do study very hard and have achieved a lot in only 3 days!

The only real instant answer I wanted is where is this VOTOX Data Base to assist me and Sam Firschman has said it is avalable via the new Update I have yet to download.

Thanks again to all for your patience!

I hope that with a screenshot you'll see where it is !

http://fr.audiofanzine.com/img/tutoriels/normal/1/5/1599.jpg

If you don't have this button "Phrases", well it means you didn't installed the updates.

There are the phrases included in the last update and there is also the votox database that at this time, doesn't work because of the site that moved or something like this as Sam said.

2 questions please?

1. Do you happen to know the Update File size?

2. Are You or others willing to 'share' edited files or at least a number of Words you have successfully edited?

I would love to have just a few to help me see what needs to be done?

What about: For, Love, Only, You, Mean, Much, To, Me can U help there and once i get going I will be only too pleased to share some of my Words!

Thanks anyhow!
