Hi Guy's, i'm new to Eastwest and just got the composer cloud subscription. I got the student version, my question is, do i get the the ten hour tutorial lessons as offered to the normal Composer cloud subscribers? I find some of it a bit daunting:( Also i was wondering what some of you guys are using with regard to hard drives, i'm starting to get cliches on playback and it takes ages for the instruments to load up from my hard drive.

Cheers
Sean

I'm not sure about the ten hour tutorials as I'm not a CC subscriber myself, but there are several videos on Youtube by EastWest where they go over the features in PLAY and certain libraries.

Yeah iv'e seen some of those but i heard the 10 tutorials go into a lot more detail, cheers though. Could you or anyone else recommend a hard drive or ssd i should purchase? At the moment i have the CC subscription which is the basic one with gold so the library's are not as big as the diamond ones. But the hard drive i store my library's on are slow so i think i need to upgrade.
Cheers
Sean

Check the Tips and Tricks link in my sig. Quite a lot of guys like the compendium.
You got the Cloud yesterday? Then no, you dont get the videos. Sorry.

Well, are you aiming for an internal or an external drive? SSD or HDD?

I got myself a Samsung T1 last week for some new libraries, and I still havent maxed out.
True enough, Im not trying to stream any Hollywood stuff from it.
Ill PM you what Im currently using with it, if youre interested.

I definitely recommend it, if its in your budget. ;)

No I got the cloud on the 7th of this month, i thought i would get the tutorials no? The drive itself i'm not sure what the best option is but from what iv'e read ssd is the way to go, is the Samsung ssd? As i said i have gold versions so space isn't an issue at the moment. I have a T1 hard drive and still have loads of space but i think the speed is the problem. Yeah pm please dude.
Cheers

Are you utilizing USB 3.0?

Ill get it to you as soon as possible.

Yeah i am using a USB 3.0 but as i said the speed isn't great, i know the minimum drive that should be used is 7200rpm but alas mine is just 5400rpm hence why i'm having difficulties. As a newbie i probably wont be upgrading straight away to diamond but i hope to be in the future that's why i think getting 72oorpm hard drive doesn't make sense.

Which 10 hour tutorials? Sorry if that's a dumb question. I've been somewhat out of the loop for... well, several years.

Yes, and if someone sends us a PM of any errors found over the 10+ hours of videos we will get them to fix them.
