View Full Version : Pastures New (my first demo here)

Hi all,

After browsing the forums for almost six months now I have decided to post one of my demos.

It was inspired by Englishness in general and I wanted to experiment with different harmonies. Sorry for the lack of development but I hope to use the main theme in the first movement of a symphony I hope to write.

Its all EWQLO Gold except for the solo flute and oboe which are edirol (lol).

Anyway please leave feedback,

This is a very nice sounding piece!

Thanks for posting.

Mmm... very pleasantly mellow and not bombastic... I like it :D . There's one thing that irritates me a bit though, which is the tambourine that sounds like a broken record... I'm not sure if it adds much... maybe if you just used it at a climax or something. Right now it's too much though, and I feel like it would sound better without. I love the modulation at :43... swooning music. Perhaps a contrasting theme would help flesh it out better as a piece. And I feel like some of the harp stuff would work better shared with a piano at moments as well.

Other than that, very lovely :) . Nice work!

Very nice stuff. The tambourine gets a touch repetative though at times. ;)

I enjoy the tranquility of the piece, nice to hear a "pastoral poem".
