Here's a samba piece with a lot of StormDrum, some EWQLSO strings, some Bosendorfer 290 and some other libraries. I posted two different mixes of the same sequence for your listening pleasure.
Some Sort of Samba (http://www.planetcanadice.com/Music/SSOS_M.Drost.mp3)
Some Sort of Samba (dry) (http://www.planetcanadice.com/Music/SSOS2_M.Drost.mp3)
Let me know which mix you prefer.
Thanks.

Dry for me! :)
it's more rich and more realism...

I like the dry, easier to distinguish between the voicings and parts.

Thanks for lending me your ears.
I'll go with the dry one.

I like it, I really like it! if you arranged this for wind ensemble, it would get played in a heartbeat. This kind of thing is HUGE these days in the band world. I also like that it's not another GIGANTIC FILM PIECE!!! I love those, but the site needs more variety.
Keep it up!
Andy
ps- dry -vs- wet...either is good.

Thanks Andy. Next time I have my friends over for a jam, perhaps we will attempt to play it.
Your idea for a wind ensemble gives me some other ideas for orchestrating this.

Stormdrum isn't a loop program?
Stormdrum isn't a loop program?
Stormdrum includes both kompakt and intakt, so it can be used strictly as a rompler - that's the only way I've ever used it so far.

By the way, I did not use any loops in this piece.
