I've read various posts about Raptor drives being best and also other posts about regular, big (like 250GB) IDE drives being just as good for storing sample libraries. So I went down to Fry's yesterday and bought one of each, with the idea of returning one after evaluating them.
So my question is: other than something obvious, like "notes get dropped when using one, but not when using the other," what good *real-world* tests would you all recommend to try to evaluate these things?
