Hi everyone my name is Ray, I've been lurking around here for awhile and was wondering if anyone could help me with an issue Im having.
Well, it's crashing, thats my biggest issue here, I'm using Kontakt2 with EWQLSO Gold, Gold XP and Silver XP, SD 1....Mac G5 Dual 2.0, 3GB ram....So why am I crashing, are my settings wrong in the preferences? also using a m-audio keystation....
I don't want my first post here to be a complaint but it's frustrating to be going along doing my thing and poof! sorry buddy try again!
this is only after a few tracks have been layed down as well.
Any suggestions on how to set up Logic so it won't do this to me?
I upgraded from Garageband to Logic Express, I also have MOTU DP 4.5 (but still havent figured out how to use it yet, is MOTU a better choice for EW?)
Thanks and any help will be great.
PS...I have looked at several posts around here about logic but I did not seek what I was hoping to find out.
Peace
Ray

Hello there.
What is your setup and do you use the newest version of Logic Exs?
Newly I updatet my Logic to 7.2.3
The update to 7.2 has AU improvement.
Try to specify when, what you a doing, when Logic chrashes

Here is a great link to some other Logic help

It crashed when I opened an instance in Kontakt, I started to play a note, then went bye,bye...haha
Could it be Kontakt? hmmm, I'm not sure
My set-up is listed in the first post. I am up to date on Logic and I know of this new update.
Can a file just become corrupt? Because it happens everytime I open this file and try to use any patch in Kontakt or even the east west- kompakt player as well.
Thanks for the reply
Ray

Edit: sorry my settings are just using core audio and I am getting an -error code -1 core audio- prompt when it crashes, does anyone know how to adjust so it will not do this?
If I think of any other settings that might be important I will post em up.
Thanks
Ray

How reliable is the ram in your computer? I once had the same problem on my G4 when I used some VSTs and started to play them or edit tracks that used them. Turned out that I had a bad memory chip.
