I have been using finale for composition and sonar 5 PE for midi tweaking. It seems like I could make my life much easier if I could get the instrument techniques in Finale Human Playback to control articulation switching for EWQLSO instruments.
I have been trying to use the articulations in the pulldown menu to switc channels, but it only works for the stacatto articulation. Marcato, legato slurs, etc. Have no effect. I tried using custom expression with text expressions, buit then for every time I put one in, I have to put a second one in to revert to my primary sustain patch for the instrument. Is there a way to use human playback and have articulation-driven channel switching for ewql libraries? Am I better off skipping the human playback and desging my own shape expressions in the expression designer? I can't find a comparable set of playback controls for the articulations.
Any help or hints appreciated!
