I recently got this DFH2 and I can get a decent kick drum but thats about it
I have listened to some samples fellow forum users have done and they sounded badass.
If anyone could lead me toward a setup I can use as far as the drum samples or how to get some good symbol effects I would be very thankful.

Hi,
I have not played with a whole lot yet because I don't need it for the current project I have going but when I first got it, I did find that some of the reverbs really brought the snare and toms on a few of the heavier sounding rock kits. If you have some time, you may want to experiment with that a bit.
Also, I would suppose getting the right mix of volumes depending on the particular style of metal, would be very important in getting the right sound.
Best of luck,

one of the typical things in black metal is the fact that the basedrum is always a triggered sample (usuale with a LOT of machine gun effect :P )
the rest has a lot of high frequenties (overhead etc)
