colossus guitar

so programming colossus classical guitar, and noticed that it actually sounds an octave lower than my piano middle C. Is this true of writing for guitar, eg you actually write it's music an octave higher, or is it a colossus thing?

Yes, guitar is written an octave above the sounding pitch. I don't own Colossus, but I do find it peculiar that EW would create an instrument already transposed. Nothing in the Orchestra is like that (i.e. when I play 2-foot C on my keyboard with a Horn patch loaded, it doesn't sound a Major 5th below).
