Though alot probably know this, I haven't seen much posted. It is in the manual, but we know how much everyone reads them.

Long Strings - use the pitch bend slightly up and down during long sustains.
It gives it alot more realism.
Don't know about the other sections.

I found that CC64 above 64 infinately sustains notes. I can't find anything about it in the manual.

might be useful, but playing it in is difficult.

Hi Lex,

For realism, something else you might try is using the humanize script in Kontakt 2, which can very slightly alter the pitch (you can dial in exactly how much). I'm sure this gives similar effect as using pitch wheel, just another way of going about it. The scripts in Kontakt 2 are very handy!

Never tried that script. Will have to check it out.

Thanks for that tip too.

Feel kinda stupid asking, but where was this in the manual? I looked all over.

About 4 months ago I experimented setting a temporary glide (in K2) on strings. The glide was set very wide and very slow. What would happen would be that the sustained note would be held while the notes a half-step up and down are alternately played (slowly) at a very low velocity. This would result in a somewhat realistic wide vibrato type deal. I couldn't figure out how to script so that the glide would only occur with low velocity (like 1-20), not to mention the fact that there are easier and different ways to acheive this, so I dropped it.

Are you talking about the K2 script of the EW pitch assignment?

The EW pitch assignment is in the SO manual. The scripts are not well covered in K2 manual.
