I can't seem to find if anyone makes a sound collection/sofware that contains ambient or nature noises? Like different ocean/water sounds, wind, crickets, animals, whatever.

Does such a collection exist?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

oh...

100s

googling "sfx" would bring many

I usually use

http://www.sounddogs.com/

IT is high quality stuff that you can order individually (2 suonds for example), or as CDs. The main sfx company I know! A little pricey at some points but also the BEST hands down! ;)

If you have the money, as Chris implied there:

http://www.sounddogs.com/suppliers/2507.htm

costs 7500$! And comes at a hard drive! 320 GB of sfx :D

there also is a vsti you can buy that has a lot of what you're looking for plus it's just a good tool to have in general, check out X-Treme FX

Also there is a cheaper colection (At least you can buy single CDs): LucasFilm Sounds, but you have very limited sounds on animals, elements, industrial, cars and jets. Look at my song "GAIA-The Ritual" to have an idea.

Here are some that I've used to do sound FX. It's hit or miss with these, you either find a great sample of what you need, or a crappy sample of what your'e really not looking for.

Freesound is my favorite. It is all user created, and you can find GREAT stuff on it. Nature and ambience should be no problem to find here.

Thanks for the comments all :D

That 320Gb one seems a little out of my price range... hehe

But if anyone has any more recommendations, please post up.

Thanks again,
Mike
