Ironically, that song (called Resonant Chamber) was composed by Larry Seyer, one of East West's competitors! Though I wouldn't go so far as to say he's in direct competition with them, as he produces different style libraries.

Definitely a good video. I love that animusic stuff, very creative and they've put lots of effort into making it look like a "virtual performance". I love how every sound is correlated with some action onscreen.
Great entertainment for kids too. Speaking as a parent, I would much rather put up with repeat plays of animusic rather than some of the horrible and obnoxious commercialized rubbish out there... like a certain purple dinosaur, for example. At least animusic has artistic value and teaches some visual "cause and effect" ideas as well as being a good "introduction to music" resource. ;)

No doubt it took a long time to create, but not as long as you might think. The people at Animusic create the models and define the musical characteristics of each "performer," then they use a custom-made program that uses the MIDI data from each song (the entire DVD is synth music) to produce the performance. Of course, they have to program the camera movements and such themselves, but that special performance algorithm definitely cuts down alot of the work.
