Break after every 75 seconds ???

When playing (on my protable) Cubase SX3/Kontakt2/SW instruments there is a sound break, less than half seconds, after every 75 seconds. What could be the high priority background process causing this? It doesn't affect bouncing. Using desktops there has never been any problems.

Are you using any demo versions of any plug-ins or anything of that sort? I know a lot of demos do this to keep you from using it for too long. Just a thought.

No. De-registered the old machine and registered to the new, the libraries being already on the external hard disk.

It seems that every time when the music stops there is one paging error or more. Could this have something to do with DFD?

I just had some similar problems with Sonar 6 after making adjustments to the DFD settings in K2. Luckily I had K2 installed on a second machine and had the original numbers to reference back to. You could try messing with the "reserved voices" in expert mode. I know this is where I ran into problems. Write down your numbers ahead of time in case you get stuck. I know this is a completely random suggestion but I just went through this.

Paging errors? Can you be a bit more specific as to where you see these errors and what they are?

Have you tried toggling the Lock Memory/No Swap setting in Kompakt?

I think SONAR prefers it off.
