Im very new at this, so please bear with me.

I tried to record a piano line (EWQL Bosendorf) together with some strings (EWQL Gold) but had some pitch change or latency problem

The piano doesnt get affected, only the strings seems to get a pitch change when im recording.
If someone can give me some advice or tell me what exactly im doing wrong.

This is my humble rig:)

AMD 64 +3200 2.3GHz
2GB Memory
XP PRO...latest updates

EMU 04004
24-bit/192kHz
1 ms Latency with Cubase SX3

Articulations used:
Boesendorfer 290 /DRY

EWQL Gold orchestra / 18 violins- F 18V EXP FAST

Please note that this occurs when i hit the record button and when i playback as well. I dont experience that when i just play strings without recording or standalone.

....I wonder if it just the quality of the Sound Card; I just paid $99.00 for it, brand new, received it yesterday.

pitch change or latency problem? Which one? Both?

If you are having latency issues, best thing to do is go to Cubase's (I forget what it's called - device setup?) and make sure your sound card's ASIO driver is selected.

As for the pitch change - are you absolutely sure? Is it:

a) you record a midi note, and that note plays back at a different pitch than when you hit the corresponding key on the Kompakt or Kontakt keyboard?
b) just different than the Bosendorf?

Which soundcard do you have? What sample rate is it set to? What sample rate is your project?

only strings have the problem. Piano dont get affected.
Cubase is set as 4ms latency input and 1ms latency output.
I chosed the EMU ASIO (soundcard's)
Sample rate is 41khz 16 bit inCubase
can i save project as a wave file and send it to you or what format can u listen to it?... please dont laugh when you hear it :o
