Hey im the only guy on the planet hwo doesnt have a modwheel. A dont have a slot for expressionpedal either. I Was wondering if there is a way to change the midi data from my pitch shift wheel into mdowheel or expression midi data?
Like transform in logic, im using cubase sx3
Any ideas?

I believe that is possible in the Input Transformer. But I'm a newb when It comes to Cubase, but other folks here should be more helpful...

I don't think it's easy to transform a pitch bend wheel into a CC-controller, since pitch bend is not the same kind of controller as Expression, which means that the data it sends over MIDI is not in the range of 0-127, like the CC-controllers. Pitch bend messages are much more detailed and have a different range.
You could still try to use the Cubase/Nuendo Input Transformer, but you need to know what the range of the values of your pitch controller are (probably somewhere >8000) and then add a line to the Input Transformer to tell Cubase to substract a certain number from that value to get a value within the 0-127 range of the Modulation and Expression controllers. It's not just a matter of transforming Pitch Bend sends directly into CC-controller sends, if you ask me.
However, it may be possible that some pitch bend wheels are in fact hybrid wheels capable of sending out CC-values as well as pitch bend-data, but that would be up the manufacturer of your MIDI-controller, I guess.
I must say, that I don't have any experience with pitch bend wheels, so I might be completely wrong. Anyone?

Thanx Jerome!
Although i think i will give up the search. I to a look at the transformer and i gotto admit im not all that good at midi to get this to work. If i can find a preset or something maybe. But i will have to buy a new midikeyboard.
Thanx for the response.
