What is the best way to go about getting a realistic repetition sound?
Right now I am doing things like say i have 3 16th notes
first note is a marcato second note is a repetion 3rd one is something with a RR on it...
Is this the right way to achieve repetition?
Thanks
John

Hi John ,

the way you've doing it now is a good way .

Some people are also using certain SCRIPTS within Kontakt to avoid "machine gun"-effects .

But actually it always depends on the particular line that you're playing and the tempo of this part of the arrangement .

So there is no general rule . Except : It's right when it sounds right.

Best

EDIT : sometimes it is enough to simply use the RoundRobbins-Articulation "RR" ( ... in Gold , Platinum ; don't know if Silver has this Articulation ... )

I am rereading the manual (which I should have done before posting this) The round robins are actually working very well for the moment ( I have platinum)
Thank you for replying :)

rimskykorsakov> What "Scripts" do you speak of that avoid 'Machine-Gunning'?
Do you have a brief demo of this?

Please look for this on NI's website , in the Forum/User Library (?) I think .
There you can download it for free.

I don't use these scripts.
