Velocity layers

How do you guys control velocity layers ? I find my keyboard is not precise enough for orchestral samples, and I think of using my mod wheel to control velocity.

I'm using Cubase sx3 and running EWQL inside Kontakt 2 VST.

DXF patches for realtime velocity control via modwheel.

You'll have to remap CCs to modwheel with K2 in order to control volume realtime.

You should have a hammer-action weighted keyboard for orchestral work.
