You know the one I'm talking about, but if not, you can hear it in a recording of mine here..

Yes, very annoying right? :P. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips on how to stop it? I know it can be stopped, because my speakers sometimes won't do any "ffp's" at all, and sometimes my songs will be full of them.
You could try increasing your output latency first, or buffer sizes after that (not much though). It sounds like it either cant stream fast enough. Also, defragmenting your sample drive may help. Or even updating your sound drivers to the latest if you haven't already.
I don't have that problem per se (everything NI or Play based sounds great). However, when playing DVD's or pulling files off disc on my system, I get something like that. Video is fine, and even over the network is fine, but there's something wonky with the sound drivers and accessing the DVD ROM that give me a not so enjoyable clickyness. This is with an E-MU 1212M on Windows XP 64. Actually, I'm ordering a new DVD ROM as it's also decided to stop working.
Yeah yeah... I bet somebody's waiting in the shadows to give me the "It's an E-MU" fud. ;)
