Laptop as processing farm slave machine?

Hi,

I am planning on moving to winxp64 soon and since gigastudio is not 64bit compatible, I was think of using my spare laptop as a dedicated giga sample farm using giga-teleport, I'll be using a sperate firewire HD to house the libraries and a motu ultralite as the interface. Has anyone had any experience using laptop as a sample/processing farm?

I would think as long as you have enough RAM, a decent processor and a gigabit ethernet connection on it.

I would recommend shuttle xpc over laptops. relatively the same price and better performance as a slave.
