Encouraged by the influential "Dean" on this forum, if you are using the Platinum library with Cubase please share some set up preferences and gear to better use and enjoy this great library.

This has come up a couple of times before and triggered some somewhat heated exchanges.

The underlying problem seems to be that professional composers who've spent a long time perfecting their use of Platinum don't want to give their "secrets" away. It's a bit like asking NI to explain exactly how to write a program as good as Kontakt 2. That said, I can think of one case where a generous-spirited individual has made something available through a link in this forum.

Perhaps users nearer the hobbyist end would be more willing to share their methods, though I expect they'd be more likely to participate if you (I'm assuming you're not a professional composer?) started the ball rolling by offering something of your own, eg an mp3 to demonstrate the results and, for those who want to know how it was done, a Cubase file that will re-create it.

Imagine you could build up some kind of (in effect) "users' club" where anyone could get a "starter-pack" of few, basic, worked examples and later get more sophisticated examples in exchange for worthy contributions of their own. It's an appealing idea, but even if it could stay viable once established, I expect it would be hard to get it off the ground.
