Awesome work as always bud! :D *gives thumbs up*

I can't wait to hear what you do with Stormdrums. :)

I also keep waiting for a bigger breakdown and one of those HUGE walls of sound with brass rips. *laughs*

Stylus is a very good generator of grooves !
Can Stylus drive the Stormdrums kits ?

Your piece are very good and the orchestral part is original instead of your usual
gimmics !

nice mixage always ... ;)

Sound great Neil, I was wondering. What are you using for keys? Is that the Korg?

Cheers,

I'm a soundfreak and write from that perspective, so here's my opinion (since i presume you want it) :

it starts like the intro of a motion picture, with a nice distosynth loop and an excellent beat, but turns into a sitcom trailer after the piano/beat part with the synthy strings and brass. Both genres have their function, the latter has less class in my opinion. But it'll work no doubt.

Really liked it. Especially the harmonic movement towards the end. Really my only criticism would be that Iwould have preferred a more expansive orchestral sound. By this I mean that the strings and brass could really 'lift' things at the end with a larger reverb to set the those elements apart from the electronica. It's a mix thing though and compositionally I thought it was a very strong piece. Very much like John Powell's Bourne Supremacy score - similar chordal movements.

hi neill, cool atmosphere but it almost sounds to me that the hookline got lost because all the instruments (horns+strings at the end) sounds more pad and background like to me (even they are in the fireground) they have no memorizable melody character to me.

however, as an ingame or background track in a movie it would be definitely cool.

Hi guys,

Yes Alex, i thought that too for melody.
I test violon staccato, it'sd really first time i use it.

Thanks for your listen and comments.
