I listened to the "The Winter is Nigh" WB example and have some comments.

A quick way to improve WB files is to play with the speed setting. Select all the text and reduce the consonant speed to 50%. This WB file played slowly, as in the mp3 example, needs a slower speed setting or longer consonants.

"Winter" should be written "win TUr" overlap the r and U so the r starts with the U but fades in.

"Nigh" written "naE" should have alonger crossfade between a and E. a should never fade to nothing, it should remain at 50 once the E takes over. E should also be softer and longer.

So Nick, what's causing the hiccup at the end of "nigh" and how do you get rid of it? I was having this problem as well with certain phrases but couldn't pinpoint it.

The E sound is being triggered too late and too loud. "E" needs to start earlier and crossfade with "a". BUT "a" should never fade to nothing. It should stay at 50 or so.

Thanks Nick, I'll give this a try.
