This is my first post to the forum. I've listened to a few of the demo, and was curious how it would sound with what I try to do...jingles.
I have a short midi of only 6 tracks with pretty basic instruments. Would anyone be willing to just run it thru colossus to give me an idea of the sound qaulity?
I would REALLY appreciate it!
If these products are as great as I hope they are...I'm already AMAZED!
Thanks!!!

JingleGuy:
What file are you referring to? What is it that you want to run through Colossus? Maybe the reason no one has responded is that it's not clear what you are looking for (at least not to me). I read your post several times trying to see what I was missing!
I wouldn't presume to tell someone what they would or wouldn't want, but if you do jingles then I assume that you are looking for a broad range of basic sounds across several genres. And if that's the case, then IMO you'd be hard pressed to find a better one-stop solution than Colossus.
But you'll probably have to just listen to the demos and try and gauge whether or not that's what you are looking for. Good Luck.

Thanks for the response barlowman.
It's a midi file. It's only 6 tracks worth of midi, so things like drums, bass, guitar...basic stuff. All someone would have to do is open it in a sequencer, and make an mp3 of whatever comes out.
The song itself (a jingle) is only 60 seconds long. So it's not long at all.

Hey...
I'll try to help you out.
Unless, someone else beats me to it.
I'm just at technical school right now.. taking weekend classes.
Probably when I get home.
But Colossus also depends on the way you play the keys..
For example, if you load a classical guitar...
just pressing a single key in different strengths and speed, would give you differnt sounds/articulations
You have to play your MIDI controller keyboard as if you are playing the actual instrument.. if you get my meaning.
Take care,
Ezra
