Hello!
I'm going to stay some time with my girlfriend who works in a another city for two months. I'll be there few weeks, but I can't take my music stuff with me. So is there some lite free program that I can use to write music with by using my girlfriends laptop and a it's keyboard. Write midi-notes and have some sort of sounds to listen it? and when I'll come back home I could just import those midi-files to Cubase and continue working on ideas. Cheers!

Hi ,
on a Mac you get a great MIDI+AUDIO sequencer for free , called GARAGEBAND. Something similar is Steinbergs SEQUEL2 ( both Mac + PC ), but this costs some 99Euros. http://www.sequel-music.net/index.php?L=1 Well , you are a windows user , so here are three free MIDI-Sequencers ( ... I don't know how good or bad these programs are , I never used them ... ) : http://www.frieve.com/english/musicstd/musicstd.html http://www.midimountain.com/ http://jazzplusplus.sourceforge.net/ ( ... urglllhmmmpff .... they look awful .... ) Cheers - Gerd Last edited by rimskykorsakov; 08-28-2008 at 03:29 PM. |
