Default RME HDSPe AIO - can volume control be used under OSX?

i heard there is no way to use standard OSX volume control to be used for this card - is there any workaround ? - e.g. can i assign a midi controller (fader or knob) in OSX to have any hardware control of the volume level ?

Regards
Artur

hmm well even if you could assign it to a fader it would still be digital control. if your computer crashes you are stuck. a while back there was an issue with play outputting 0db digital noise which prompted me to get an analog volume control, which is better than digital anyway. I have the m-patch 2.1 and recommend it
