Post Web Design & Hosting Help

Hi Guys

I assume many of you have websites and have some kind of web hosting - I am in need because i've just finished my first album and did a short film and some game work and i've used EWQL sounds amongst others.

I have pages for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube & SoundCloud and i did have a "Site" but i was originally using ReverbNation with their siteZoogle site builder but there was so much limitation and freedom of their site features
Plus they would charge so much to do little things....

So i've decided i want to be in complete control of my site but it means i need a new site making and although i know bits of HTML CSS etc i just don't have time to do it.......

So i was wondering if you guys know any good web hosting companies & web designers that are reliable and good for making music websites?

What do you guys do?

Do you design websites yourself? *If so i may have a project for you if your interested)

Many Thanks

If you want to promote yourself and your music, you MUST have a personal website. Having a FB page, and a reverb nation page is fine, but ONLY having those is unprofessional, and nobody who is worth anything will take you seriously.

There are many hosts out there. Godaddy is one. You can get a domain, a bunch of email addresses, and a ton of server space for about $100 USD per year. Most hosts offer website dev, tho I cant vouch for the quality there. If you kinda know what you are doing, you can purchase a template for very little money, and make it your own. You can also hire someone to do your site for you if you have the budget; I know of someone who does quality work that I can pass off to you if you'd like.

Cheers.

http://www.wix.com/ allows you to create flash and html5 websites for free. They also provide quite a lot of free templates that are a good starting place. Hosting is free (but ad supported).

Jeff's suggestion is a good one, try Godaddy. I host my site through them, and they provide you with a do-it-yourself program that's very easy to use and modify (called website tonight). I pay $8 per month and have generated a lot of work from it, and you can buy a domain name for about $10 per year (cheap). Like Jeff mentioned, you NEED a personal website to be taken seriously.
