This is the first track (of many to come!) that I have used SO Gold Complete on. It is the 2nd song from my 2nd solo album (working title 'The Invisible Man').
The song is called Shipwrecked Feedback, tips, criticism welcome.

Hi soapmak3r
I had a listen - lov the lingering vocal part the strings just after that release time is maybe a bit to shortThe intro guitars works, but the moving fingers feedback is very clear/sharp/to load maybe and takes the listener away from the actual song...in my opinion ![]() The piano is amazing and works solid Other than that, AMAZING song! I can see this in a movie where somebody is either lost somebody or thinking back |

![]() I may need to adjust the strings here and there. I was thinking that it is the dynamic release trails and some of my notes are overlapping others by different degrees? Still figuring out how that effects the sound. As for the squeaks on the acoustic...Weirdly, I must have tuned them out when mixing and mastering. I used a slight harmonic exciter at the mastering stage and I think that has made it a lot more pronounced. I can probably use a de-esser on the guitar within the mix to dial the squeak back a fair bit.Glad you liked it!

Thanks for the positive feedback.
![]() I decided I would go back and do a bit of remixing and ended up re-recording the vocals as well as reducing the string squeak on the guitar and rearranging the strings slightly. I can't edit the original post for whatever reason, so I'll post the updated track here: http://soundcloud.com/john-marshall-ni/shipwrecked-1
