For some reason whenever I add a phrase from any category English or Latin or English-Phonetics or Votox in WB, when playing the notes back there are a few syllables that are lower sounding than the rest of the phrase.
For example Silence is Golden- The "lence" and the "den" would sound a lot lower, the "Si, is, and Gol" would all be equal. When I check the timeline, the volume for the lower sounding syllables are equal the others. Since by default the volumes are at their max, I have to bring down the higher sounding syllables to match the few lower ones. This is a pain in the !@# for the longer phrases as it's always at least two syllables that are lower. This happens immediately after loading, without making any adjustments in the player, or WB. I know how to adjust the Velocity in WB, but that doesn't help, because they're volumes are lower by about 12 db. In the player I've also tried adjusting the Attack, Curve, etc. and the Repetition, Portamento, and Sensitivity and still no change. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks for any ideas. Z- |

This is a pain in WB. And there are others too. The best way around it that I know is to switch to close mics (note: you have to do that manually for all 12 or so channels), since the volumes in the close mics are a bit better. There is still an awful lot of editing to do, though, if you want to get it sound natural and flowing (staccato fares a bit better).

I just opened a blank project and loaded Choirs, and the problem seemed to have went away. I think it was the project I was in, I may have had to much loaded. I did get a system memory low sign when I loaded the last Tenor patch.
Thanks Theo for your response. Z- |
